New home to the Alumni Association and Park Scholarships has a new roof.

On May 31, the Alumni Association celebrated the ”topping off” of the Dorothy and Roy Park Alumni Center.

A construction term referring to the moment when the highest structural element is put into place, the topping off ceremony marked significant progress in the realization of the long-awaited new building. The Park Center is more than 40 percent complete and is expected to open in the spring of 2006.

The center is made possible by a personal gift from Dorothy Dent Park of Ithaca, NY. She is the widow of Roy H. Park, and chair of the Park Foundation, which funds the Park Scholarships at NC State.
